Nothing free replaces Nansen entirely. Its labelling of addresses into named entities is the part you cannot reproduce cheaply. If what you want is to watch a handful of good addresses and be told when they move, that part is free, and a bot or an explorer watch list does it.
Searches for a Nansen alternative usually include the word "free", which says what the search is really about: the platform is judged to be worth more than the asker wants to pay. The useful question is which part of it they actually need.
Nansen positions itself around Smart Money. Its own site, read on 4 September 2026, describes seeing what Smart Money is buying, trading it, and tracking every move in one platform. So the product is three things bundled: labelled entities, analytics on top of them, and execution.
I could not verify Nansen’s current plans or free tier while writing this. Their pricing page returned a 404 and the plan page inside the app was blocked to automated requests. Rather than quote a figure that may be wrong, this page does not state their prices; check their site directly, and be aware that anything a comparison page tells you about somebody else’s pricing may already be stale.
The labelling. Turning millions of anonymous addresses into "this fund" and "that exchange" takes clustering work, data sources, and continuous maintenance as entities move. That is the expensive part, it is genuinely useful, and no free tool does it at that scale.
If your work depends on knowing which named institution is behind an address, budget for a platform that does that. The rest of this page will not help you.
Everything downstream of choosing addresses. The chain is public; balances, transfers and history cost nothing to read. If you can name the ten addresses you care about, watching them and being told when they move is free, and needs no labelling at all.
For many people that is the actual requirement. They do not need a map of the whole market; they need to know when six specific wallets do something.
Rank by value moved rather than by activity. Bots dominate transaction counts, so a busy address is usually a machine, while a large mover is more often a decision. Public leaderboards, project documentation that names its own treasury, and block explorer labels for exchanges cover a surprising amount of what you need for free.
Open Top wallets for the addresses moving the most value on Base over the last thirty days, ranked by dollar volume rather than transaction count, and tap Watch on any of them.
Three addresses free with no account. The paid plan is 6 USDC a month for twenty-five addresses and a dollar threshold on each, which is the filtering rather than the labelling.
Not for entity labelling, which is the expensive part. For watching chosen addresses and alerting on movement, free tools do the job.
It names the entity behind an address and analyses the market as a whole. A bot watches addresses you already chose and tells you when they move.
This page does not say, because it could not be verified on 4 September 2026: the pricing page returned an error and the in-app plan page refused automated access. Check their site.
Rank by value moved rather than by transaction count, use explorer labels for exchanges, and read the documentation of projects that publish their own treasury addresses.
